LI: Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.
This week for our summer learning journey we learnt about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart is a flyer that can fly a jet,I think so. Amelia Earhart is hero because she set many flying recorders and fly solo and across the,Atlantic Ocean.Jean Batten died because infection.And,Amelia Earhart died because she was 115 years old.And so, I think that,Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart are both best flyer and brave and strong.After we write things about both of them we went to blog and blog post about them.Look above for more of things about them.

Today we are learning about three super powers and how they feel like when you try it out. LI: Relationships - Patience - Respect.
Today for kiwi can we learnt all the things from last term.We learnt four themes.It's called Relationships and Patience and Respect.All those themes that,I just wrote are things that are called caring and helping and being kind to people.After we try to remember the themes we played a game that we played last term.We played all four or maybe five games and it was amazing and lots of fun.Maybe you can try out the games too.The games are called hot potato and musical cones,bitty bitty bop and traffic lights and the last one is do this!do that!.My favourite game is bitty bitty bop.This is how you play.First we stand in a circle and and our teacher,Seamanu has to point at someone and if he says bitty bitty bop and he finish the senescence and you did't say bop before he finish the senescent that means your out.So try all the games we played at kiwi can but don't forget it's fun to play.

Maori - 2019.

LI:The days and the month in maori.
This week for maori our teacher,Mrs Fire oldie came and tell us that we are learning about the days and the month.But it is going to be more harder.First,Mr Wong send our whole class a slide that was from,Mrs Fire oldie.The slide show us the month and the days in the week.And maori words that was mix up because we have to put them in the right order but the easy way to put the maori words in order is by sounding it out like when,Mr Wong teach us with the phonics words.So if you want help how to put the maori words in order is buying using the phonics words because they almost sound the same if you just sound them out together.After you learn how to put the maori words together like match them together you have to blog it and put it in the must do.

Kiwi sport - 2019.

LI: To learn how to move fast when the hits your side.
Today for kiwi sport we learnt how to move and hit when the tennis ball come to you.So first we say hello to our tennis player which is our coach,Peter and he tell us a few rules.The rules was that when the ball hits the line it still means that it's still in and if the champion hit the net but it still went over that means the champion is still in and if the champion hit the ball and went outside the line and you hit it back to the champion that means your out.After we hear out the rules from coach,Peter we played the game and it was a lots of fun but some people was still sad because they did't beat the champion but I was having a lots of fun and even if I still did't beat the champion it was still fun. Respect and showing differences - 2019·

LI: We learn how to respect other people by showing how differences you are.
Today for kiwi can we learnt how respect people and showing how we can help people with something they can't do.After we talk about how can we help you with something like telling what you need help with like you need help getting up stairs course you have a sour leg our helping the teacher telling everyone to stop chatting. So these thing are called helping others and showing how respectful you are.After what we talk about we played a activity that was called mirror mirror.So how you play it is you get into two straight line and look at them and one side is the mirror and the other side has to do a move and the other side has to copy there moves and they swap over and the other side is the mirror and they have to do the moves.So after we played the mirror mirror activity we went outside and get into four groups and the person in front has to throw the ball at the second person and throw it back to the front person and the second person has to go to the back and when the ball goes to the last person in the back they have to try and have a score in the front hoop and count all the scores you got. And it was lots and lots of fun.

Basic Fact.

LI: Plus and take away.
Today for basic fact we learnt how to plus a number and take a number which it means takeaway.So if you want to take a number to make your answer like this number ten take away four so first put ten fingers up and take away four from the ten and it makes the answer six.So second is plus.Plus is when you add a number together like the number seven and plus three and so if you want your answer you have to add the number so know what is the number.So remember that we have to add the big number first so the answer for seven plus three makes the number ten.So if you want to learn more come and look at my blog post for Basic Fact.It helps you learn lots about your,Maths.

LI: To learn to play doubles tennis.

Doubles tennis is when two players play against another two players. Both players on each team should have turns at hitting the ball.The person closer to the ball should hit the ball.We practised by playing doubles.

Today for my blog post,I'm blogging about ssr selfie.What can you use for ssr selfie?. LI: To respect others for their differences.
Today for kiwi can we learnt how to  respect others.So first we talk about other country language.After we talk about other country and language we play a activity that called spot the difference.Spot the difference is a game were you get into two groups and decide who's going to be number one and number two.So the number one has to turn around and number two has to change the looks from before.After number two is ready number one look at number two and see what's the difference from before.And if number one what's the difference from before number two turn back and number one has to changes the looks from before.And remember it's fun to play.

This week for reading we were finishing our fiction follow up task from last week. This week for kiwi can we were learning about now to be patience.What does patience means? Patience means waiting for something that you want to go to and not like this when your stuck at traffic and the light turn red and you don't want to be late for something and just drive and never when the light is red what will happen to when you went pass the red light what will happen.What happen to is that you will get a ticket from the police or you might crash some where.So if you are in a rush just calm down and be patience or else you will get a ticket or you might crash on a tree. LI: To add a speech to a narrative.

This week for,Writing we were learning about a speech.What does speech means? I think speech is like when you say something that maybe your character would say.Like if my character was a pony and you tell what you feel like that your pony would say like this"Hi were do you live?" asked the little pony.After you understand what you can do you have to go to your drive and open up your google document and get starting writing about the three little pigs and remember to put your story into topes and writ down what your character would say.

LI: To learn about how to respect people or you can say it respectful.





This week for kiwi can we learnt how to respect or you can say it respectful.After we learn what respect is we played a activity.First our teacher,Seamanu from kiwi can put maybe like ten cones and we split into groups and,Seamanu played a song then we have dance and when the song stop you have take the cones before the other groups take it and it was lot of fun.After we finish playing this fun activity we went and put point up the board and we went back to class and blog about what we did at kiwi can.

LI: To learn about how to hit with a racket.

Today for kiwi sport we played a sport that is called tennis.First we watch our coach Mr Peter to show us how to hit a ball slowly.After,Mr Peter teach us how to hit slowly we try it too and it was fun.Our next game is how to throw a tennis ball diagonal and you can't throw it at the person in front of you. After we learn how to throw we went back to class and blog what we did and kiwi sport.And done.

LI: We learnt how to say goodbye in maori.

This week for maori we were learning about how to say goodbye in maori. After we find out what goodbye means in maori we find that there was a movie that was going to help us and when click on it there was a video that show up and we watch.After we watch the video and we understand it we have to find this slide in your inbox.After you find the slide you have to answer these question you have to blog about and put it on the must do and done.

This week for reading we were learning about the fiction follow up task slide.First we have to finish up the first slide.The first slide says describe a character. This week for kiwi can we learnt about how to contact with others.Contact means how to talk to others with out saying hey you and the person that you want to talk to might not look at you because they might thing that you are talking to someone else. And if you want contact with others you have to say excuse me and the person that want to talk with might look at you.Contact is a little bit important cause you might say something important to someone and if don't say excuse me they won't look at so I thing that contact is important.

This week we learnt about fiction follow up task.First we have to find a fiction book from the fiction and when you finish finding a fiction book you have to understand what is it talking about and you have to read it once only.After you finish reading the book once and you understand it you have to go and make a new copy of the fiction follow up task and finish up the slide that is on the fiction follow up task and you have to describe a the character that is in your fiction book.When you finish you have to blog and put it on your must do.

Today we were learning about respect or you can call it respectful.Respectful means feeling or showing deference respect. Then after we finish talking about want is respectful we play a activity.The activity was to get in to a group and you have to get into a little circle but you have to make sure that every one in your group have to be in the circle.So when we get in to a little circle you have to put your hand  away from the person that is next to you.When you finish putting your hand to a other person hand and when you get tangle up you have to make to a circle when you are tangle up.And that what we did at kiwi can.

LI: Measuring and Tally.
This week we were learning about measuring tally.Tally is like a game that includes a dice.So the first thing you should do is writ down a box and when you finish writing down the box you roll dice 50 times with you three groups and when you finish rolling the dice 50 times you writ them down in the box.And when you finish rolling the 50 time and writing them in the box your done.Measuring is when you measure up the number we finish writing down on the box.So you have to measure the point you have in the box and when you finish measuring the point that you had them your done.So remember if your looking at my blog post look above there is a photo about maths that might help you with your maths.Deanne.

LI: Follow-up Task.
This week we were learning about follow up task.Follow up task is when you describe your character in your story.Follow up task is when you tell how do you feel when you were a hero.I think when people be hero they feel happy because they are a super hero and they 'er is to save people from evil people.And follow up task is when you tell how heroes act.What do hero act?Heroes act like protecting there people and how heroes looks like is tall and they might look small but they look strong and powerful.And that how heroes do.

L.I:To apply knowledge of simple machines to create a Rube Goldberg machine. Our challenge was to make a simple Rube Goldberg machine using  all the six simple machines.The simple machines we used for our Rube Goldberg machine is a pulley, wedge, incline plane, wheel & axle and a lever.The challenging part is what are we going to make and what we are going to use for our simple machines.The part that I will make different is the pulley part.I want to change and get a better pulley.The material I will use for the pulley is a yo-yo.

LI: Learning about swimming.

This week we were learning about swimming. And what we did for swimming is we did streamline is when you put your hands up and dive under the water.Next was freestyle is when you put your other hand up put your other hand up the other hand go down.And second is floating on your back and floating on your tummy.And that's what we did for swimming.

This week we were learning how to plan our advertisement.And we have to find what are we going to sell our customers.And what I am going sell is a helicopter. Like how much is a helicopter and what size is a helicopter and a image of it and description it like is colourful swift with the wind and all those things you what to sell to them. And that's how you plan your advertisement.

LI: to play this bomb grid.
This week we were learning about this bomb grid game above and we have to successful our path.
And how we make our way out is we have to put the arrows in the right path.And if  you put the arrows in the wrong path and you are pointing it to the bomb it will explode.And when you finish the game above you have to explain the successful path.And we have to use the word called turn or rotate 1/4 90 clockwise or anticlockwise. We need to practise dealing with challenges to deal with them easily in the future. We did a bus stop activity. We had to explain the challenges in the pictures.

Today in the morning we went to kiwi can. And what we learn from kiwi can that we played a activity called the bus stop. How to play bus stop? So kiwi can will give you pictures to explain what is the person on the picture doing.So is like the person in the pictures is showing you what emotion stuff there doing and you have to ask them how to make them better again.

Today I am learning about inquiry. Wonder if there was no wedges.And if you have no wedges to help you with your work you will be very tired.Wedges is imported to us because it helps people get up and down  than claiming and holding something heavy.When you are having something like a nail and a hammer and a wood trying to break the wood remember that you don't need a nail that it flat you need a nail that it's a shape of a triangle to break through the wood.Wonder that if there was no wedges you can't break through the wood.And wedges if imported to us too.

Writing/Speech.

LI: To choose a favourite speech or poem finalists. 

This week we had our first annual Speech/Poem Competitions for 2019. There were 12 lucky contestants from year 1 to year 8. The yr 1 to 3 had done a recital ( aka poem ). My favourite poem out of the juniors ( yr 1 - 3 ) was Micaela. Her poem was called " Humpty Dumpty". I chose her because she had just started the school this year and for a 5 year old she was pretty confident and spoke very loud.

For the seniors we had done speeches. My favourite contestant out of the seniors was Mele, her speech was about the Ihumatao protesting and why we should support them because what if that happened to you. Mele had done a great job and added a lot of emphasis and gravitas with her speech.  

Reading.

LI:Today we are learning identity the main ideas in a bank. Today I am learning about the main ideas bank and we are reading book that is called the morning bath.And after you finish reading this book you have to go to the main idea bank and finish some more work.And next you have to blog about what you learn a some more stuff.

Emotions

LI:Today we are learning about emotions and what you feel when someone come and say something bad.

Today we are learning how you say something nice to other people and how you feel when people say something bad to you.If people say something rude to you can go and tell your mum or your dad or maybe your teacher. And not just punch someone when you are angry just tell someone and it will be okay. And after that we play a activity.And we have to get into groups and what we have to do is the maori words and next activity was doing the abc backwards and doing the catchphrase and doing hits.

Today I am doing Basic Fact and numbers.Basic Fact Helps your numbers and for maths too.Basic Fact helps you a lot because it will remember your maths again.Basic Fact is pulsing and taking away a numbers. Today I am learning what is SSR Selfie for?I think that SSR Selfie is when you choose your best or your favourite book that you want in your life.And I think that some girls like a book that it is called,Fairy Tales Myths and Legends,Fairy Tales is like a cartoons that you watch on TV. This week we were learning persuasive texts.And how I learn it was we play a game with high bounce ball and tennis ball after we play the game we explain which ball do you like best tennis ball or the high bounce ball and I choose the high bounce ball because is easy for me to skim people out.High bounce ball is easy for me see and it good for me to play handball.

This week we were learning about main ideas. What does main ideas mean? It means a sentence that is about the topic.After that we play a game that call not like the others.After that reading is about finding the main ideas.And after that we did the sentence that do not belong with the main idea.

LI: Learning how to float on my back

Today me and my class went swimming at Panmure Swimming Pool.
Today, I learnt how to float on my back. I have to put my feet straight and put my body up and my face above the water.  I have to put my hands above my head. I can go backwards floating on my back and it was fun. There was a lady  who taught us has how to do it but,I  don't know her name.  But it was fun swimming.
Swimming is a fun sport for me and it make me feel happy. And other sports too.
She said that next week Thursday,

we can go swimming again and I love going swimming so I can learn lot about swimming.

Motat or main lab.

LI: Motat or main lab.

Today,I am blogging about the main lab trip and it was yesterday.It was a fun trip because we ride on a bus to get to main lab or shouldn't,I call it  motat. And when we get there they try to welcome as and we welcome them to our school.And room 5,room LS2,room LS1 those are the class that went to main lab and it was a fun place and what we did first was we eat lunch next was exploring and we went to many different place like fire trucks,fire station and we see computer that we can play a game cars,engines,motor bikes,travel bug,trampoline,stocks and there were more then that but,I do not have more time to do that.So that is what we do to motat and after that we say thank you.
